How We Help You Grow!
A Simple Plan for Spiritual Growth
Growth, becoming more like Jesus in the way that we think, act and relate to others, is normal for a Christian. Just like in any other area of life - if we aren't growing, we are slowly, or not so slowly, dieing.
Often, though, the problem isn't knowing that we need to grow. The problem is in discovering how we move toward growth.
To help our members with this struggle, we have created a process for helping you move stage-by-stage toward becoming a mature believer who fulfills your ministry in the church and your life mission in the world. As you move from one level to the next, you will have the opportunity to sink your spiritual roots deeper and deeper into Christlikeness as you develop a personalize plan for growth. Each level includes a program that suggests a level of involvement in the life of the congregation, as well as a Growth Track that will help you step up to the next level.
Level 1: Crowd
Worship Celebration is unquestionably the first opportunity that anyone who attends FCC has to grow in faith. Thus, the messages during Worship Celebration are crafted to provide sufficient depth for maturing members, while speaking with clarity and relevance to those exploring what Christianity is all about.
Growth Track 101 - Discovering Church Membership - Discovering Membership is for those who are investigating FCC. In a luncheon format, people are told to "untold story" of what kind of ministry this is and why we do what we do helping people to connect to the church and its ministry.
Level 2: Community
Small Groups allow people the opportunity to participate in a non-threatening, yet stimulating Bible discussion that is relevant and applicable, while building relationships of authenticity and accountability. Participation in a small group affirms that you are not in the process of growing on your own.
Growth Track 201 - Moving Toward Maturity - Maturity is a seminar that equips people to build into their own spiritual development by developing the habits necessary for growth - Bible reading and study, prayer, daily time with God, fellowship and tithing.
Level 3: Committed
Bible School provides teaching that gives added depth to your understanding of the Bible and your ability to live according to its principles. At least three kinds of classes are offered during Bible School to fit a variety of spiritual needs: a topical elective that addresses personal needs; a Bible study course on a book of the Bible; and a class that will help you hone your ministry abilities.
Personal Spiritual Inventory provides a tool for growing believers to gauge how they are developing in the Christian life. The Inventory includes a personal appraisal and a growth plan worksheet for building a clear and strategic plan for growth in the coming year.
Growth Track 301 - Motivated For Ministry - Motivated helps people understand how God has created them to fulfill a special and specific ministry. Through teaching, discussion and reflection assignments, participants discover ways that they can serve God and his church that are fruitful and fulfilling.
Level 4: Core
Mentoring helps you connect with another mature believer who will guide you further into the process of growth as a disciple, minister and leader. In a life-to-life or small group relationship, a mature leader shares their life and spiritual development to help you take the next step of growth.
Growth Track 401 - Discovering My Life Mission - Being a Christian isn't just about being in the Church. God desires to see those still outside of his loving embrace brought close to him. Our mission as Christians is to partner with God in loving those outside of his family. Discovering My Life Mission helps you explore how you can do just that.
