Praise of Helping Hands 4 Homes
My family and I would like to thank Pastor Chapman and the First Christian Church family for helping us restore our garage. Last summer my family and I were blessed with an opportunity to remedy this issue. It has been one of those home repairs that did not quite fit into our budget. But, eventually over the years it became an eye sore and a priority. God intervened and brought peace to our hearts. Through your church we were introduced to a group of young people who would help us take on this monstrous challenge and begin repairs.
Day 1 was most strange and unusual. A storm had come through and left horrific damage and debris. As we walked through our neighborhood inspecting what was left behind, I couldn't help but say to myself, "they're not coming, they're not coming". and the more damage we saw, it got louder, "They Are Not Coming"! Nevertheless when we walked back to our home the door bell rang. I opened the door and there stood a group of smiling faces ready to begin.
Our experience was exceptional. The final day when the work was done one scripture came to mind, Matthew 5:3. In the Kingdom of GOD there is commonwealth. You were God send. Thank you!

My sister and I would especially like to thank FCC and the Helping Hands team for the recent improvements made to our home. They repaired and painted our back porch/deck and painted our garage. It turned out very nice! We truly appreciate this because we have no one to help us at this time. The lack of help and financial resources caused the exterior of our home to look messy for quite some time. Thanks again for everything!

God bless you, Minister Steve Chapman and First Christian Church. I truly thank and praise God for the young people from Helping Hands 4 Homes. God said in Proverb 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he gets old he shall not depart." All I can say is my back porch has been blessed by the best. Words cannot explain the love I felt from the young people. I cry tears of joy every time I walk on the porch. The children from the community love it, my neighbors love it. They are still in awe - "Children did it." I can't stop thanking God for sending his disciples to do such a grand task. I give God all the glory and all the honor. I thank God for using Minister Steve to reach out in the community. I could go on and on, you know but the believers know the word of God doesn't run out - it just runs on and on. I thank God! I thank God! I thank God!
